I have the misfourtune of reporting my second set of bad news in a week. Visconti & Lechler Pharmacy in College Hill has closed after 42 years in business. After decades of chasing chain pharmacies out of College Hill the competition from chain stores in other communities just got to be too much. Visconti & Lechler has been an institution in College Hill for decades and was still run by Ralph Visconti Jr., the son of the founder.
News like this is never good to report, especially for communities like College Hill that are struggling to regain a thriving business district. For our communities to survive, we need stores like Visconti & Lechler.
If your were a customer of Visconti & Lechler, you do have another locally owned option for a pharmacy. Please take your prescriptions to Northern Hills Pharmacy located on the corner of Galbraith Rd and Daly. They have great service and a great staff that will truly appreciate your business.
