Opening Day 08: Where to See the Parade

Where to watch the parade (courtesy of the folks at Findlay Market):
The Parade route starts at Findlay Market and heads down Race St to Fifth, and then travels east on Fifth ending at Broadway. The best spots to watch the parade are:
Race and
Fountain Square: Sure to be packed with Reds fans. A full day of events is planned for Opening Day. Beginning at 9 a.m. Local 12's Jen Dalton and Council member Jeff Berding will be leading a pep rally, and local, Latin band Tropicoso will be performing.

Great job covering this wonderful tradition. Your pictures and tips are great for those who are familiar with this great day and those who are not.
When I go to watch the parade, I usually go down to Washington Park. I kinda like the backdrop of the old Lutheran church there.
Wussed out this year due to rain, tho.
The staging area north of the Market is kinda fun, too.
If you go there on a bicycle, it is easier to get in more of the parade route.
