Campus Cyclery: Your Bike, Her Bike, His Bike

Cyclery1.jpg
The world of biking seems daunting to many who've only enjoyed its more recreational side, but Cincinnati's Campus Cyclery has something for any kind of customer. Right off of UC's campus, Campus Cyclery has a selection of 200+ bikes and a knowledgeable staff that will help you with any of your biking needs. "We have a full range of bikers here: commuters to racers," Glenn Wolf, owner of 25 years says. Campus Cyclery has been in business for 35 years, always at its Clifton Heights location.

"The stock here is very fluid, we have our factory-made bikes, custom ordered bikes, and custom-made bikes." Campus Cyclery will even order frames and components to your specification and make your bike in their own shop, which is literally right behind the counter. It's all about customer service here, whether you need a restoration, a hand-made wheel-set, or just a shot of pressurized air from their free pump outside, the Cyclery is sure to meet your needs. "Some customers have been coming since I started here," Glenn says.

Cyclery2.jpgMuch of the Cyclery business comes from the bike commuters in our area, who have few shops that can meet their needs of everyday biking. If you need a particular component or frame, they order from a diverse group of manufacturers to suit your needs. You can further "spec" your bike by having your own wheel laced, trued, and rounded by the Cyclery's workers (and if you're curious what this means and entails, "get thee to a cyclery!")  Do so, not matter what kind of biker you are, and we're sure you'll find everything you need.

One thing which is really worth noting about this shop is that these guys REALLY know single speed. For those who are into single speed, you should know this is quite rare. I got almost everything I needed for my single speed mountain bike conversion up there, and they were helpful to the last detail. Not only that, prices were comparable to ordering on the internet, which you REALLY can't beat.

Great shop, well worth checking out!
