Cincinnati PARK[ing] Day
Tomorrow, several local shops will participate in the 2nd annual Cincinnati PARK[ing] day - a day to "to celebrate parks and promote the need for parks in America's cities." Metered parking spots are paid by local citizens who use the space not for automobiles, but for temporary parks. This year, temporary parks in Downtown and Over-the-Rhine will be turned into everything from lemonade stands to cornhole stations. BuyCincy staffers participated in last year's PARK[ing] Day, and it was a blast.
Confirmed participants include Park + Vine, Iris Booke Cafe, City Roots, and Coffee Emporium. Check out cincinnatiparkingday.blogspot.com for a full list of participating businesses - and happy PARK[ing]!
