We came. We heard. It was awesome. Midpoint 2008 is officially over, but we want to relive last weekend in all its ear-splitting glory just one more time. In our 3 days of coverage, we saw bands from Seattle (Say Hi), Monterrey, Mexico (Mocks), Athens, Georgia (The Winter Sounds), and a bunch of quality bands from here in Cincinnati.
Wherever we went, and whoever we saw though, crowds were abundant, which was great to see in the city center. In fact, we barely squeezed in for a few shows at the Know Theater and Lodge Bar, and couldn't even fit in the door at Courtyard Cafe Saturday night.
It was certainly a great weekend! I drifted to a lot of shows, and getting to play at MPMF was a thrill.
Were I to pick one show I loved (for the sake of painful brevity), I'd have to say that the Felice Brothers were my favorite. They had hints of Guthrie, Rock, and Zydeco.
