Shop by Candlelight at Shoetopia
Power in Northside is spotty, and it seems the whole Northside Business Disctrict is still without it. However not all of the Hamilton Avenue stores without electricity are closing down. Shoetopia is using the blackout to have what they are calling "Little House on the Prairie" fun. The store will be lit by candles and flashlights today, so old-school style shopping can be done until dark. As the lack of electric makes credit cards a hassle, any purchase by cash or check will be given 10% off. And, candles go quick in times like these, a 10% discount will also be given to anyone who brings in a working candle.
