Celebrations will be taking place across the city this upcoming week to celebrate the life of Dr. King. Local band ISWHAT?! in conjunction with Mista Rare Groove are putting on a special Multi-media set honoring Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. on January 19th.

We are happy to announce that Gold Star Chili, the Flavor of Cincinnati, will be the Presenting Sponsor of the event;Gold Star is Cincinnati's hometown chili. They are, like Findlay Market, pure Cincinnati, and proud of it. They are pleased to support our competition for the best homemade chili in town!

Gold Star Chili and Findlay Market have sweetened the pot of prizes in honor of the 5th year of our event! This year's winners will receive:
First Prize: Chili Meister $100.00
Second Prize Chili Monarch $ 50.00
Third Prize Chili Monarch $ 50.00
Each winner will also receive a gift basket of Gold Star Chili products and merchandise!

The 2009 competition will be limited to 40 entrants.

Celebration of Dr. King
On Jan. 19th join ISWHAT?! & Mista Rare Groove (rhymesayers ent.)
for a very special multi-media edition of The Set at Baba Budan's
honoring Dr Martin Luther King.
Thru visual art, rhyme and sound collage artists will challenge the audience to appreciate the "dream" enough to wake up, push it further and bring that justice into current focus.
