The Eclectic Curio Coffeehouse is a new addition to Eastgate, one of few locally-owned shops in the chain heavy area off I-275.But with bright painted walls, repurposed antique tables and its own Etsy shop, it's not likely to blend into the background.
Wikoff said she's always loved the character and "flair" of local
coffee
shops, but hadn't been able to open her own until last year.
She hopes The Eclectic Curio will be a coffeehouse for the community, drawing in local groups and friends for meetings and study groups.
She serves Zimbabwe-grown Leopard Forest Coffee, Cincinnati-based Servatti Pastry and Hershey ice cream products.
Next month, she'll add homemade soups and wraps to the menu.
But Wikoff also wants the coffehouse to be a showcase for her vintage and antique items. She's dubbed Eclectic Curio "a funky spot to sip and shop" and says everything in the space is for sale.
The coffeehouse has one wall lined with cabinets of jewelry, lamps and pottery for sale. But if a customer finds a comfy seat in an antique chair and wants to take it home? Just name a price.
Many of Wikoff's vintage items (gathered from estate sales, yard sales and donations) also can be found on The Eclectic Curio's Etsy shop.

Wikoff describes her style as an affordable Anthropologie, but with items that will accumulate in value, rather than get tossed out after one season. She said some of the items have been ready for a buyer for years.
"I'm always been a bargain hunter," she said. "I've held onto things for 20 years, because one day I knew I was going to do this."
