Research has shown that people who live with pets tend to be happier and live longer lives. So, of course, it seems apropos to indulge our pets every now and then and what better place to do this than
Hyde Bark, a boutique for dogs of every size, shape, and breed.
Hyde Bark was voted "Best in Cincinnati" in 2005, the first year it opened and store owner (and dog owner of course), Cynthia Waldenmaier, says she was shocked and pleased to win the award.

Hyde Bark is a colorful, festive boutique that makes you feel happy the instant you walk in. Waldenmaier states that several Hyde Park locals "visit the store even though they don't own a dog."From the decorative collars, leashes, and outfits to the all-natural treats and goodies that any dog would love, this store has something for every dog owner.
Even better is the fact that prices are quite reasonable. In fact, I walked away with ¾ lb of all-natural treats for less than $8.00 and a pretty collar for the same price for my beagle, Emma.
I love the fact that the treats are all-natural with human-grade ingredients. For special occasions, birthday cakes and breed specific cards are available, which will next on my list of things to buy for Emma.
Hyde
Park/Oakley is clearly a dog-friendly neighborhood and it would behoove
all that walk by this quaint shop to pop in, as surely you will find
something for Fido. If nothing else, Waldenmaier, provides free treats
to all 4-legged customers. For sports lovers, the store currently sells
many of Ohio's most popular collegiate attire for dogs, including the
Ohio State University and University of Cincinnati. In addition, Hyde Bark can custom-make garments and harnesses for your dog. This
store is clearly committed to the dogs of Hyde Park and in times of
trouble, this store provides a breath of fresh air to the community.
