44: Tim Kaiser + David William + Ben Brown
Contemporary Arts Center, 44 East 6th St., downtown
4pm, Sat 5 Dec
FREE
Tim Kaiser blurs the lines between art, science and music. His music is often textural and melodious, drawing equally from Shona mbira and found sound. Having been in Cincinnati punk bands for some 15 years, David William seems perhaps an unlikely candidate to be one of the city's most adventurous experimental musicians. As a visual component, DAAP student and local DIY art provocateur Ben Brown will explore the visual aesthetics of "broken" technology and media-bombardment. -VL

May Festival Youth Chorus
Taft Museum of Art, 316 Pike St., downtown
2pm, Sun 6 Dec
FREE
The May Festival Youth Chorus performs holiday songs, choral selections, and solo repertoire. This concert is free, and no reservations are taken. -VL
