BuyCincy Cincinnati Opening Day Guide

Cincinnati Reds Opening Day, Monday March 31st.

Welcome to BuyCincy's Guide to one of Cincinnati's favorite un-official holidays.  Opening Day in Cincinnati has always held a very special place in the hearts of all who live in Cincinnati.  It is the one day nearly all Cincinnatians band together as Reds fans and celebrate an event that is truly unique to Cincinnati.

In fact, the Cincinnati Reds and this day have such history around them that Cincinnati used to play the first baseball game of every season.  With ESPN contracts that has stopped now (the first game of the season has already happened....in Japan), but as the first professional baseball team, Cincinnati is the only team in baseball that is granted the right to open every season at home. Because of that, every year we are allowed to come together as a city and celebrate our team.

Here is our guide to celebrating this un-official holiday, packed with information on where to go and what to do on Opening Day this year.
