Grammer's might be Cincinnati's second-oldest bar, but the Over-the-Rhine watering hole is adding some decidedly modern events.
It's still being updated, but Grammer's has a Web site now, thanks to manager Ryan Breen. But there's even better news:
Pick up kickball in OTR
Every (sunny) Thursday from 6-8:30 p.m. at SCPA (1310 Sycamore St.) with pints (and possibly parking lot dodgeball) after the games at Grammer's!
Scavenger hunt
Ryan is planning a pretty impressive and exciting scavenger hunt (details to come). You'll be excited. Trust me!
Speed dating
Calling all you OTR singles: Are you having trouble finding a decent date? Is your love life flatlining? Seriously, stop checking out Match.com (we know, it's OK to look) and head down to Grammer's. The bar is hosting a speed dating event on June 18 (with a preview event/soft opening on June 11). It begins at 8 p.m., with specials on Bell's Two-Hearted Ale (aww, get it?) and other drinks.
In other news: Air conditioning is coming, so be patient. And so is local music.
