Dancing Wasabi: a troupe of sushi

dancing wasabi.jpg

So it's Wednesday night, you're hungry, but have been avoiding the grocery store since the news has been all over the rising food prices.  What to do?  Sashay your way over to Dancing Wasabi in Mt. Lookout Square for half price sushi!

A plethora of all things sushi await you and your dining companions in this busy  and energetic restaurant.  It's pleasantly, dimly-lit and the tables are packed into the place, but there's sushi specials every Wednesday evening.  You can also sit at the bar while you wait for the table and watch the chef work his magic with nori and the bamboo mat.

From the seaweed salads, the hot firecracker roll (a favourite) and the imported beers and saki, you'll enjoy this dining experience thoroughly.  With 25 appetizers and a variety of Korean and Japanese dishes as well, there's plenty from which to choose.  Service is good, particularly given its popularity and the bathrooms are nothing short of splendidly pristine.

Perfect for?

This foodie recommends this date-friendly location to sushi lovers who want a vibrant and lively place to socialize and eat.  Full menu til 4am on Friday and Saturday, and til 2am Sunday through Thursday.

Where?

1018 Delta, Cincinnati OH, 45208 ... in Mt. Lookout Square

How much?

Always half price sushi on Wednesdays.  Appetizers start at $5 and entrees are $13 for vegetable tempura, $16 for chicken teriyaki, or $27 for lobster tempura among other selections.

Introducing the "Yummers Rating"

Yummers Rating: a foodie rating scale coined by this blogger, ranges from 1 as the lowest and 5 the highest rating.  Often measured in how many times you say "yummers!" during the meal.  A "super yummers!" is an automatic 5.

I rate this a 4 on my Yummers Scale.

Sounds good to me! I'm a fan of Mai Thai's sushi rolls and always on the lookout for good places to eat.
